My Babygirl - Beauty Shines Through

As I follow my daughters around I usually try to capture them with a beautiful pose or a beautiful background but this day nothing went as planned. As I got my camera I turned around to find my almost 2yr old filthy as can be. Oh no, I thought, my photos for today are ruined! Then I thought for a second and decided to try this instead and began photographing her and soon realized the dirtier she got, the more beautiful she looked to me. She got wet, she got dirty and muddy and she had so much fun doing so and I enjoyed seeing just being a child. Uploading the photos I wondered, can dirty still be beautiful? And after seeing the photos I took of her I soon realized that dirt or no dirt her true beauty still shined through. Now these photos have become my favorites I've ever taken of her. =) see other photos of her I took that day...

We are Family

When I look at this photo I am reminded of what being a family is all about… having fun together. What could be more fun than being surprised with an Easter egg filled with confetti cracked on your head? Even though I don't like the way I look... for "We Are Family" I wanted to be in this photo. These are the types of silly family memories that remind me why I love being a mom and photography. =)

My Babygirl Camila

This week at i heart faces is Best Face Photo and while I have been unable to take many photos this January due to such cold weather. I did manage to take this one of my babygirl being cute in her pjs when she was about to get a yogurt in the morning and I was pretty happy with it. This to me is the cutest face of my baby girl this month so far. =) I love the lighting, her messy morning hair and the sweetness in her eyes.
